Bathroom Remodeling · San Francisco

WATERPROOFED
RIGHT THE
FIRST TIME.

Solid Bay Construction has rebuilt SF bathrooms since 2016 — old cast-iron drain lines, uneven subfloors, and the waterproofing details that determine whether a remodel lasts ten years or leaks into the unit below in two.

THREE WAYS
IT GOES

Every bathroom job runs through the same waterproofing and plumbing questions — the difference is how much of the room changes around them.

01

Refresh

New vanity, fixtures, tile, and paint within the existing layout. Plumbing stays where it is, so the work moves fast.

02

Reconfiguration

Moving the toilet, shower, or vanity means relocating drain and supply lines — and re-waterproofing the shower pan and walls from scratch.

03

Full Gut & Structural

Older SF buildings often hide subfloor rot or outdated drain lines under the tile. A full gut means addressing that before anything new goes in.

DON'T LEAK.

★★★★★

"They handled everything — design, permits, construction. The waterproofing detail work was exactly what we needed for an older building. Incredible team."

Questions

FREQUENTLY
ASKED.

A bathroom remodel typically runs $35,000–$120,000 depending on scope — a refresh at the lower end, a full gut with waterproofing and plumbing relocation at the higher end.

A cosmetic refresh often doesn't require a permit. Moving plumbing, fixtures, or walls does — we handle the SF DBI submission as part of the project.

A refresh can take 2–4 weeks. A reconfiguration or full gut with waterproofing and permitting typically runs 2–4 months from design through completion.
